Marie Kumabe, Principal

Marie Kumabe, co-founder of Remedy Intelligent Staffing, has extensive experience in management and human resources.

Ms. Kumabe is responsible for recruiting screening, and managing the placement of candidates. She also oversees Remedy’s Professional Development Program and administers evaluations of associates for client employers. Her expertise in and knowledge of human resources enable her to provide invaluable career mentoring to associates and customized services for employers, large and small.

Prior to establishing the firm, Ms. Kumabe was Director of Internship and Career Development for the University of Hawaii's School of Travel Industry Management. Her background includes senior management positions with American Hawaii Cruises, Northwest Airlines, and Continental Airlines. She earned a master’s degree in human resource management from Hawaii Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of California at Los Angeles.
